CMSS is a skills development centre, whose purpose is to provide independence. CMSS adopts a holistic approach which aims to meet the welfare, educational, employment, social and leisure needs for adults with learning, physical and sensory disabilities. You can call either the manager or deputy manager for an appointment, to have a chat and pick up an application form.

Fill the application in and return it to us.

We do a few checks of references and a police check.

I urgently require a live-in assistant to provide an outcome based care service for me.I am 50 years old and I live in my own home in Ruislip. I知 looking for someone who has excellent communication skills in English and has experience of working with people with disabilities. I have my own vehicle as well so I am looking for someone who has a clean U.K. Driving licence so we can get around and about.

I have Cerebral Palsy and I知 a permanent wheelchair user. I also have epilepsy and at times need to have rectal diazepam administered so therefore I知 looking for someone who has experience of working with both Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy. Duties will include, cooking general house work and all aspects of my personal care and administration of my medication. I also attend a day centre 5 days a week which will allow my personal assistant to have a break.

I have an excellent sense of humour and my personality oozes fun and laughter!!! I enjoy socialising, spending time with my friends and family, cinema, dog walking, football Arsenal only!! Mainly just being out and about in the community. I do not communicate verbally however I知 very good at using body language and training will be given to you so that you can understand me.

The ideal person will have a zero tolerance of all forms of abuse and support me with the same respect shown to their own family members. I am an individual and over the years I致e discovered what works best for me. I知 looking for a personalised service that will enable me to have the maximum possible level of independence, choice and control. I am looking for someone who will support me and take the time to listen to my needs, wants and respects my right to privacy. Someone who will engage with my family members and carers as partners and who will assist me in maintaining my confidence and positive self-esteem.

Salary and terms and conditions will be discussed at interview stage, I would also pay for an enhanced CRB which would need to be processed prior to employment.

Human Resources - HR Administrator

Job Type: Part time

Duration: 6 months (possibility of extension) - 15 hours per week

HR Administrator post:

CMSS Skills Development Centre (based in Pinner, Middlesex) provides Education, Employment and Leisure opportunities for adults with physical or sensory disabilities and those who may also have a learning disability. Working with statutory and voluntary organisations, we provide services to people in the London Boroughs of Ealing, Harrow, Hillingdon and Brent. 

Purpose/Role:

To carry out the role of an HR Administrator (working part time - 15 hours a week) to assist the Management Team in the effective provision of HR administration and coordination support to the project objectives.


The HR Administrator will:

  •  Assist in the recruitment and selection process
  • Maintain accurate and complete personnel records both manually (personnel files), electronically on the HR Databases ensuring that all records are kept up to date and data quality/integrity is maintained.
  • Support colleagues with day-to-day activities to ensure that deadlines and standards are met
  • Liaise with management team and employees from various projects on a daily basis in order to provide quality service satisfying business needs
  • Ensure that all administration is carried out professionally, following best practice guidelines and is in accordance with company procedures.

 Key Skills/Experience Required:

  • Experience and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • General administration skills in a busy, fast paced organisation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to present self confidently - interact comfortably and professionally with personnel at every level
  • Ability to prioritise workload in line with business requirements
  • Ability to produce work accurately to tight deadlines
  • Some relevant experience within HR
  • Proactive and willingness to learn

 Have you been attending CMSS for 50 years? Has your family been involved with CMSS for many years? We are currently in the process of publishing a book about the history of CMSS and we need any old newspaper cuttings, photographs, letters, or anyting related to the history of CMSS. Please could you forward these to Betty Morris and we will photocopy them with your permission, and give the originals back to you.
